About Corgi

The Guardian of the Lost, Lady Sherrie of the Autumn Court.

In a time when the realms between fae and humanity were at their thinnest, there was a fragile harmony that lay dormant. Within the fae realms were the courts. Each court represents each time of day, each season, each direction. The Autumn Court, the protectors of the realms between the living, the dead and the supernatural is where our story begins. Born in the nobility of the Autumn Court, Sherrie was gifted by the spirits of the autumn forest with great power within. A power to communicate between the living and the dead. But not only this, she was given the fae powers of a corgi, a rarity that was given only to those deemed worthy of great potential and happiness, guiding others to her naturally.

Sherrie was given the title of Guardian of The Lost, training from a young age to be able to console and communicate with the dead to lead them to their final rest. Surprisingly, this never scared nor bothered Sherrie. She found the spirits she could speak with to be far more peaceful than the stories she would hear told by her parents or by others. At the age of ten, Sherrie was given a pendant, a planchette, to signify her power. The planchette was beautifully crafted, a glass dome window able to open up to store anything precious to her.

Growing up, she was trained on how to appease the spirits of those who needed help. Despite her dark origins, Sherrie grew up to be kind hearted, caring and loving. Always believing that through the darkness, light is always around the corner. On top of her duties, Sherrie was also given the same duties and schooling as a member of the Autumn Court itself, the nobility often treating her differently due to her powers and responsibilities. However, Sherrie had a longing for more, outside the court. To explore, to see more of the world, to know more of the other realms that were beyond the courts and in the realm of humanity.

She would guard the area as well, a shepherd over the veils, watching to protect. But one day, there was a large rift in the boundaries of each realm. Working with each realm, each country, against a mountain of undead and demons and spirits begging for their freedom, for their greed. At the height of the battle, Sherrie found her way to the center of the battle, where the cracks of the rift splintered out. Within, a single star; shining brightly. Using every ounce of her might, Sherrie collapsed her hands around the star, blocking out its light. Doing so, there was a moment of peace as the field felt the implode of the magic. But the realms began to disappear, one after another, into each own rift, each own eating at one another. In the catastrophe of it all, Sherrie used every ounce of her powers to separate each realm.

Including the realm between humanity, and the veil of her court. In a moment of desperate hope, her final hour, Sherrie prayed out to the ancient gods of the realms, begging them for their help and salvation. A notion that so many had tried before, and had failed. But the gods decided they would appease Sherrie’s cries, in an exchange for her cooperation. She would be able to come and go between the fae realms and the mortal realms, but she would continue to take on the burden of spirits between both realms that get lost in the veil. The veil would continue to be fragile, and humanity would have to be reminded once more that the stories they have are more than just fairy tales.

In modern day society, Sherrie has turned to the internet to gather stories, make connections in place of her mundane occupation. Becoming the streamer ‘HauntedCorgi’, Sherrie has taken on a new persona, and has offered to reach out to befriend spirits, fae who also have made homes amidst the human realm, and humanity who want to remember that there is something to smile for. Her playful demeanor and mischievous personality hide the burden she carries.

The shard within her pendant? While the gods could not subdue it, they were able to alter the chaotic magic within and turn Sherrie into a beacon. A beacon of hope, of positivity, to guide those who seem lost to her naturally. She carries this burden alone. But as a corgi, she naturally carries a positive demeanor that also is attractive to others.
